MISSING SHADOWS: PC WITH ATI/AMD CARDS
If you are a PC user with an ATI/AMD card and there are no shadows from cars or trees in Lumion, you need to update your graphics card driver software:

MISSING SHADOWS: HOTFIX FOR MAC USERS WITH ATI/AMD CARDS
This problem is caused by too old graphics card drivers in certain Mac computers with ATI/AMD graphics cards. You should only follow this procedure if you have an iMac and certain object types such as trees and cars don't cast shadows in Lumion:

1) Exit Lumion

2) Go here to find out which version of Windows you have (32- or 64-bit):
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827218

3) Download the attached iMac_Shadows_WinXX-bit.zip file that matches your version of Windows (32- or 64-bit).

4) Unzip the zip file.

5) Overwrite the following file in your Lumion installation folder:
    Lumion\Channels\89E051CA-4273-4EB9-89C8-5FD0CDA1B026.dll

• New 3D sound library: Sounds can be placed directly in your scene in Build mode (Lumion Pro 3.0 only).
• New orbit camera mode: Press the 'o' key (for orbit) and the right mouse button to orbit.
• New Load/Save material set function: You can now save materials in a scene to a file, and then automatically apply those materials to another imported model provided that they use the same material names in your 3D modelling application (Edit materials -> Load/Save material set buttons).
• New Select in Library and Replace with Library selection functions in Context Menu.
• New license system: 1 key for multiple licenses.
• New animated 3D people (33% in Lumion 3. 100% in Lumion Pro 3).
• New models: Aircraft, ships, sports venues, garden furniture etc (33% in Lumion 3. 100% in Lumion Pro 3).
• New trees & plants (33% in Lumion 3. 100% in Lumion Pro 3).
• New Tilt slider in Handheld camera effect (New effect -> Camera -> Handheld camera).
• New Foliage Wind effect in the Photo and Movie sections (New effect -> Weather -> Foliage Wind).

IMPROVEMENTS

• The Glass material can now use 8-bit alpha mask textures.
• Streamlined interface: Clearer keyboard shortcuts, new Movie effects preview images, simplified Weather settings in Build mode, simpler Movie export menu for videos and image sequences.

• Improved Photo section: You can now apply effects in Photo mode.
• Movie and Photo effects can now be enabled in Build mode.
• Movie effects now include thumbnail images that demonstrate what the effects do.
• Improved Snow effect: Snow is now affected by lighting and shadows (New effect -> Weather -> Snow).
• Anti-aliasing is now turned on by default in Build, Movie and Photo mode previews.
• Water material no longer shows visible tiling.
• Editing materials is now a lot faster if your model has many materials.
• Improved horizon.
• Better fog.

CHANGES

• Most weather, camera and shadow settings in Build mode have been moved to the Movie/Photo sections as effects. The settings are no longer available in Build mode.
• Camera keyframes in a clip can now be rendered in Movie mode (Save movie or Create movie from clip -> Images tab -> Frame range -> Custom -> Shots).
• Load camera views is now (SHIFT) + (1)/(2)/(3)...(0) instead of (1)/(2)/(3)...(0).
• The Blur in-out effect has now been integrated in Movie effects -> Style -> In/out.
• ALT + Reload Model has been changed to a button that appears when you press the CTRL key while editing the materials of a model.
• The Clip Plane object has been temporarily removed due to technical problems. It will be re-instated in a future update.
• The Focal Length effect has been temporarily removed. It will be re-instated in a future update.
• The Smooth Edges effect has been removed as it is now applied by default in all real-time modes (Build/Photo/Movie mode) and when rendering 1 and 2 star movies.
