We of course try to prevent that we need a build 2 or 3. We work extremely hard to prevent it. But we know from 10 year experience that always something sneaks through no matter how hard we test.
Morten has done extremely well in testing Lumion 2.1 and with his help this is one of the best releases we had.
We know it is frustrating to have to download a version again but if you can't live with a second or third download please wait 1 or 2 weeks next time we make a big new release so that you have a bigger chance of a single download.
If you really can't live with software ever having a bug I am afraid we will never be able to live up to the expectations.
There are still some minor issues in 2.1 build 3 but we didn't want to change more and wait longer. Also I am sure new issues will slowly come forward making us work towards 2.2 if they are not that bad and if there is something terrible a build 4 will be made.
The issues you see now are side effects on our efforts to reduce memory use of Lumion. We are quite progressive in our approach to software development and not afraid to make drastic changes to the codebase. We know this creates more chances of issues but also is the best straight line towards a perfect solution.
Remko only showed the highlights but there where more then 160 small and bigger features and problems tackled from 2.0 to 2.1
I hope this gives a bit of insight in our really hard effort to provide you with software that is really stable and usable.
